I LOVE Sleater-Kinney, and So Should U!

Been listening to them non-stop...i don't know why, but they are my favorite band at the moment. Not that I liked them b/f though, which I was already a fan! hell, went to see them open up for PJ back in 2003in San Antonio, and then saw them @ the Filmore last year. These girls are amazing live!! I SO want to pick up my drums again after seeing

Ouch ouch ouch. If you're refering to me... no one can EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER replace Kim Deal. Ever. Ever.

Kim Deal was the reason I didn't kill myself through four years of high school. This is just another band I respect for both their music and political views. They are not even in the same ballpark as the Pixies are.

Lets just keep that straight.

I agree w/you ground beef. truly both bands are amazing!! No one can even hold a candle to the Deal sisters, Sleater-Kinney just keeps it out there to make it known that we women can ROCK too!! :)

I especially respect Janet Weiss (though carrie brownstein is obviously my favorite) for saying in an interview, if she could pick her all star dream band... she'd have Kim Deal on vocals and bass.

I liked that because she said bass, not guitar... obviously referencing the Pixies. Both bands are awesome. Pixies are legendary.
