SPN 5.22
It really comes down to this for me:
IMPALA!!!!
It makes me want to go outside and snuggle up to my car, which isn't as awesome as the Impala, but has my heart and I totally want to mack on it right now.
So, episode reaction posts are not my thing. I generally fail to be analytical when I love something, so it's really just a lot of squee and being dazzled by the pretty. That being said, I was really touched by this season ender. I don't know if I could've asked for more, especially since I've been so let down by storyline wrap ups in the past. *gives BSG the evil eye* In no way did this suck for me, except for the fact that I was all more, More, MORE! at the end.
Needless to say, I loved everything about the car and just about cheered when Dean popped that cassette tape into the deck and rolled into the cemetery. I love that it's now canon that the brothers Winchester did squeeze in some fun here and there, like a concert or a baseball game. I really wanted that for them! I'm tearing up right now, just thinking about it. I'm such a mess! Where's the tissue?!
Anyway, the scene with them under the stars? Could this season have been any more beautiful? Between that and the fireworks scene, my expectations of television series has forever been changed. The emotional arcs, the moral dilemmas, the gore and violence, the beauty of striving to do the right thing, all the time... I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH!
And on a shallow note, the montage of brotherly wonderfulness was so full of pretty it's unbelievable. Jared and Jensen as Sam and Dean are so gorgeous! Once again, I'm glad that this was captured on camera so that we can have it for all time.
I'm sure I'll have more to say upon a second viewing, I'll be thinking about this all summer and I'm thanking the powers that be that the SPN Big Bang starts soon because I'm really going to need it this time!
