Yes. To all of that.

It really seemed like a bunch of troublemaking assholes decided to hook up with protesters who didn't mean for most of that to happen, and then it got nasty. But seriously, it's the same thing as when they had the big protest in Victoria and someone threw marbles at the horses (seriously, you're talking about rights being violated yet you're willing to potentially cause serious injury to an animal?), and in the end they simply canceled a portion of the torch run. That means some poor 12 year old kid never got to carry the torch! And they were soooooo proud of themselves, saying YES, we made our point and we taught them a lesson! The only lesson I'm learning is that there are assholes out there. :(

Tonight I watched someone who poured the last 4 years of his life into 23 seconds of flying down a hill, and he won a medal for his country. That's what the games should be about, and that's what I love.

no werries mang, i toadally needed to read that. it was refreshing to hear an inside mang's perspective on the olympix as opposed to the left-wing propaganda i'm always exposed to 'round here!! there's just as much love to counteract all the doom in the world! <3
