Helpful maybe? Snapshot disable

You know that really annoying little snapshot thingie that's cropped up for links on LJ now? You can disable it. There's little tool-things at the top of the box that pops up, and if you hover over the left-hand one, it offers the option of disabling. You check the particular boxes you're interested in and refresh the page and voila. Snapshot GONE

Thank you so much sweetie! I couldn't get the Cartoon links to work, but as soon as I disabled that annoying as hell snapshot thingy, they worked no problems!

*nods* Yeah, I'd finally gotten so annoyed with it I started trying to click on it to see if you could make it go away and sure enough....

Man, could they think of other ways to annoy ppl tho? It just isn't helpful when you're trying to download something. I found that as soon as I disabled it, the links worked too, which is why I wanted to share it with everyone who cares. *chuckles sheepishly*

Thanks, I'm starting to get worried here as my legs have been in massive pain all day and I just found huge bruises all over them that weren't there before. Something is wrong and I don't know what so I have no choice but to get help now. Plus this cough just won't go away and it's worrying in itself as it's been over a month now. When it's at the point of people being woken up at night (both hubby and chibi-kun), then ya worry, ne...

Still, I will talk to hubby-san when he gets home and see if he can get me the money to go see the docs here and hopefully they'll do something. I can't keep going like this and then find I end up bedridden or something because of my own stupidity.

Weeell I have a script blocker, it blocks snapshot.com. XD

I think it's a form of spyware, more than an lj add-on...it appears elsewhere too.

Huh, weird. It seems I'm not the only one affected by it tho, but yeah. Everyone seemed to think it's an LJ addon. *puzzled*

I use Opera which isn't really the most user-friendly of browsers (but it does stop a lot of other unwanted stuff so I tolerate it's quirks for the most part) so I have no idea what's set up as far as ad-blocking goes, but yes, this snapshot thing is ANNOYING. They should at the very least let ppl opt out of things like that... *sighs*
