I tore down a poster advertising a "Walk for Life" (the poster featured a photo of a baby and a bible quote) at a Burgerville in southern WA last week. At first I felt kind of guilty about it. Then I remembered that if it had said, "Your life, Julia, and everything you've ever done have less value than the potential life of any given fetus, because you have the gall to be female" I would have torn it down and spat on it. And that that is what it would've said if it were honest.
Today, someone outside was talking about this in the alleyway- one of the women talking about it said, "God, I have such confusing feelings about abortion!"
I really wanted to call back through the half-open window, "There's one thing I'm NOT confused about- You can't walk into a Church and MURDER someone."
NARAL's putting together a candelight vigil tonight at 6. I can't make it but I thought you might want to go. They haven't figured out where yet: http://twitter.com/ProChoiceWA
