The writing thingy

So I had two goes. The first one I came out as Stephen King. Hmm, try again. This time with a different set of paragraphs. Her name is familiar, but I have never read any of her books.

She is brilliant. I met her in Orlando, FL, at UCF. She's Canadian, and she wrote The Handmaiden's Tale. It was turned into a movie with Robert Duval (spelling?). She's written many things in regards to women, too. I have one of her sites listed on my LJ right now, actually. It's a great read. Short, too. Wild.

Work won't let me see it - the site is blocked because of profanity. Comes of working with minors.

Oh! I didn't even think about that. Sorry. It is loaded with profanity. Well, most of her stuff is. hahaha

Feminist Sci-fi. Very, very good. Handmaid's Tale is one of the most readable.

Sounds interesting. I would not mind borrowing it of you, not that I think of you as my personal lending library ;)

Steve, that's shocking. You've ruined my image of you boning up on feminist literature late into the evenings :P
OMG, I just had an image of you in a Xena costume - why? Why would my brain do this to me?

My first came out as H P Lovecraft, and the second as Douglas Adams!!!!

Howling with laughter and despair. There go my delusions of good prose.

What are they basing the result on? I don't think it can be sentence structure - otherwise I write feminist horror!! I like to think of my posts as perky rather than depressive!

I can lend you Lady Oracle (I think), the Edible Woman, and I might have some of her newer ones around. I don't have the Handmaid's Tale anymore. Don't bother with Oryx & Crake, it's utter toss.

I met Margaret Atwood at an event once for women in science. The presenter was terrible and asked her the blandest questions, and she herself was a huge disappointment in the flesh.

Never meet your heroes :(
