I have a problem. Months after losing my (shitty) reliable full-time job in my chosen field, I finally get another job in my field. It's not full-time, but the work is enjoyable and rewarding

This is a tough one. We both know how much it sucks to be stuck in a job you hate. Though it sounds like the full time one, while boring, is not going to be dreadful, and the schedule is quite nice.
From the practical side of things, steady, reliable income, and at a full time rate, is always a good thing to have.
Are there any odds of the part-time job becoming full time? And some time in the near future? If so, that may be the way to go. But if it's only ever going to be part time, then you may want to consider the more boring job.
Good luck, it sounds like it's going to be a tough decision.
The current job is as a travelling home health aide. Full-time hours are hard to come by, since most people who hire us only need us for a few hours. (The average length of a visit is about 3 hours.) What I'm leaning towards is taking both. Doing the desk job and then this current one on the weekends. I don't know how well it would work, but this way if something happens with the desk job (or if I misunderstood and it's still just a temporary), I'd have the other one to fall back on.
If you think you can do both, as you're contemplating, I would give that a try. Home health aides are *always* in demand, and I can't imagine you *not* getting back to your current level of work if you asked for it.
Make sure this new job offer *is not* temp - just have them clarify - and i would say, go for it.
At the very least, do it for a year, get your car fixed and pay some bills, use the regular money and hours to shore up your financial needs, and then quit if you're really hating it. Who knows - if you're doing a good job and they like you, you might get the opportunity to move on/up to something more enjoyable.
