Please don't be discouraged by rumors about Japanese people or what people said about you. Not all the Japanese are tiny, you know? They have all the sizes and heights just like in Western countries. If you have a nice personality and character and are a hard worker I'm sure they'll accept you no matter your size. Are you going to sit there and do nothing? You can achieve going into Japan and try to live there, you are capable of it. Those people who critizise you are envy of you and try to destroy your happiness and determination so you can't go to Japan. Don't give them that satisfaction!
By the way I LOVE this new layout! It's so Japanese-like and cute.
Thank you. ;_; I was really wanting to hear this. I'm sick of stereotypes. I'm SICK of it. They use that, throwing it at me, to deny me and make me worry that I'm too big or won't be accepted. But all people of all ethnicities come in all shapes and sizes.
I deleted and banned people because they have offended me - and rightly so. When they start insulting who I am, my dream, ME....they've gone too far.
Thank you ;_; That was the look I was going for in hopes that next year I will see the cherry blossoms.
I'm glad I can cheer you up a bit. You should check some Japanese cosplay idols that are all curvy, cute, hot girls and are loved a lot in Japan. My favorite ones are Karin Nonone and Tyouzuki Maryou.
Hi, I'm sorry to butt in like this but I think gods_debris meant the 'Caucasian Geisha' thing as to like, a foreigner situation. Whether someone is Asian or Caucasian or whatever, if they're from a foreign country then they're still a foreigner. I learned that while living there, tbh

Ah, thanks for the message! I'd love to have someone help me study - doing it on my own is really difficult.
Is there another kanji that is confusing with salt? I haven't learned that one quite yet - I've learned most of first grade kanji, and I'm studying grades 2 and 3 now but I haven't memorized them. Trying to see which ones I'll need and which ones I won't.
Yeah I don't understand people when they act like there are not people of all sizes in Japan. There are, especially men. SUMO! (I want to see sumo matches badly!) Oh definitely, I usually do $150-200+ per month. It's tough, due to my car payments, but once my car is payed off in Sep/Oct, I can save a LOT more!!
And thanks for clarifying the "Caucasian Geisha" thing.
Regarding the salt thing - I've lived there a couple times, lol. The first time was for an exchange student program, and I didn't know how to read Japanese. That's when I found out why that salt sucked - it wasn't salt. XD So I bucked up and really hit the books. Something so simple as salt makes you kinda go, "Oh god I really can't get along without being able to read

You're so lucky - I want to be an exchange student so bad it makes me wanna cry..I wanna learn the language, and it's impossible in my town to teach myself..the best way to learn it is to be there.
Ah even cheap seats aren't so bad! I'd love to see a match!

It shouldn't matter the size you are trying to fit into but, that you wear the correct size so you LOOK good. No one is looking at the tag but you :) The important thing is to be comfortable with who you are

That's what I worry about, not fitting in. But I don't fit in here either, so what the hell. :/ But there are many people from other countries and mixed/haffu people who fit/enjoy it there..so why not me, ya know?
They always check my thyroid and want to check it, but it always comes out negative, but sometimes I swear I have Thyroiditis. Or low-blood sugar/glucose. But nope, they say I don't, which frustrates me.
I'm 5'2" it's just my size/weight that bothers me -_-;
Re: New commenter here...pixyteriJune 25 2011, 04:38:15 UTC
You're not fat - at all.
I've had people tell me I'm plus size, which bothers me because I've never fit into plus size clothing. I've never been heavier than 170 lbs.
However, It's not easy at all for me to lose weight. And that's with working out and eating right when I can. Which is why I wonder about my thyroid, they asked me about it even back in high school. So..EEK I hope it's not thyroid cancer ;_;
I know I have a problem with the numbers - but it's not something I can easily break. It's been like that all my life, since I've never been the "ideal" size or "super tiny"...I've struggled. In my adult years, the smallest I've been is size 8. Which I'm trying to get back to...don't know, it just seemed to me the best size. Yet I still really like the way I look when numbers/measurements/weight doesn't come into play - sure, I could tone my belly, legs, and arms up more but for the most part, it's good.
