I've heard of blowing your nose into water to get over dust allergies. Maybe you could try that?

Ah, the mask thing... I tend to wear a mask when I start to feel some pressure on my sinuses/ears. Makes people look at me kind of strangely, but I think they're grateful that I'm not just allowing my germs to run rampant. xD

Medicine with decongestants are unobtainable from the store in Japan. You must see a doctor and honestly, in my opinion, their allergy medicine is pretty weak in comparison to Claritin-D. :(

To be honest, I had an allergy attack once since coming here. It was when the yellow dust from China was coming over the ocean and wreaking havoc on my sinuses--it's also what got me very sick. I haven't been bothered by anything since there, which is nice ( ... )

Just a fair warning if you've never had steroid shots before.
I have horrid allergies and every once in a while I get a prednisone shot.
Steroids make you eat like a pre-hibernating bear so if that's concerning then I'd avoid steroids unless you absolutely needed it.
