You know, I don't mean for this - which is to say, you guys - to always be my dumping spot. It's just nice to be able to whisper something into the reeds without putting it Out There for Everyone

The Kindle app is free on the itunes store, (I dont know what kind of phone you have but its probably free on the Android store) Well the app is kinda moot since I have a actual Kindle. I just finished the third book in the Game of Thrones series.
Good series, but I think you need a slight case of ADD to keep up with his style of writing. Chapters from the POV of a character are wonderful but when you make the circut in the book to get back to that character, sometimes you just don't give a shit about them anymore. And I got Merlin to watch the show with me, so far he likes it.
You know, I dont think I've ever met the Dude. Hopefully the next time you all travel to Wilsonia I will. Yes, my house is now the proud country of Wilsonia! XD Why? I dont know, it seemed funny in my head.
Remind me to tell you about some prescription cough meds and me waking up after taking it with my cellphone in hand wondering who on Gods earth did I call when I was high as a damn kite...
Yeah, I'm a card-carrying member of the ASoIaF Before It Was Cool club, and I TOTALLY hear you about book 3. I can still remember nursing a hellacious ear infection back in like, 2002, sitting up at 3 AM with a towel-wrapped hot bottle to the side of my head, reading That Chapter and thinking "oh, fuck. No way. NO WAY."
(My membership has lapsed, though, since it took GRRM like 10 years to crank out two books of debatable quality. you are now officially further than me, and I'm looking forward to hearing your take on 4 and 5!)
I thought about your housing thingy up there and... while I confess I know nothing about home ownership or buying-ship, the problem you listed about how difficult financing is and how hard it may be later on for you to get rid of it? If I were in your place I'd put that condo in the 'last resort' slot and keep looking. If it's really in a choice location and is all set up to appreciate and everything... it makes the finacing aspect sound all the more peculiar. I have absolutely not business giving any advice in this situation, but I think this still applies: remember that turning a 'no' into a 'yes' will be infinitely less painful than trying to turn a 'yes' into a 'no'.
Well y'know Sarah, you posted the other day about your adventures in filing, and how at the end of the day you felt hugely lucky to be loved so well, and by so many people. I think that's true of a lot of us, and if we don't happen to already have paper artifacts attesting to that, I reckon we'd better start making some!
