Last Wednesday Borders officially released news that they were filing for bankruptcy. 200 stores will be closing due to this, and my store will be one of them. *sniffles* I'm sad, not only about losing my job come April (when our store will close its doors), but because I always enjoyed shopping at Borders over the years. Yeays! I have so many pictures, and wanted a place to put them up. Plus I've been in the mood to mess around with my paintshop program, so we'll just have to see what comes!

Thanks. I'm feeling okay about the job thing. I mean, I know it sucks that I'll be partly unemployed, but having gone through this already I feel somewhat prepared. I feel terrible for some of the people I work with, though. It's still such a shock for a lot of us.

D': I'm sorry that your Borders is one of the ones being effected by the bankruptcy!! I hope you can find another job in the meantime, but it's SO sad that the stores are closing. As far as I am aware, the Borders near me isn't closing it's doors yet, but I know I was sooo bummed when I heard the news.

It's been really sad listening to everthing that Borders has been going through. We all knew it was a matter of time before something was official, but I don't think any of us expected that they would close the store. I figured my store would let the new hires go, which would have included me, but as it turns out, it's all of us. :(

I'm excited to get some things posted. I've been messing around with my paintshop program and maybe, if I can get my butt in gear and figure out some ideas, maybe I'll post some fiction on there as well (I really want to get that Warehouse 13/Charmed fic realized. We'll see.

=( It absolutely breaks my heart that places like bookstores are closing. Sure, the internet can be less expensive, but in my mind, few things are as great as the feeling of walking out of a bookstore with a great book. I'm so sorry that you and your fellow employees are going out in the first wave, but at least you don't have to wait and wonder if you're going to be closed down. :'(

Ohhh - I'd read the crossover fic for sure, even if I know next to NOTHING about Charmed. Ha-ha. :P
