Wow.

I speak without sarcasm when I say that was really an interesting analysis. I think a lot of people find the amount of research and background information required to understand politics really daunting. I know I do, but then I've discovered that politics, like math, is one of those things I'll never really figure out.

I bet you could find an audience if you were to write a political-themed blog, though. People are always looking for someone who can explain this sort of thing in a language they can understand. Then again, people are also looking for someone whose opinion seems well-informed and falls into line with their own personal beliefs so they can borrow it for their own purposes.

Thanks for the compliments!

One of the biggest problems today is that political information is either too hard to access or too hard to understand - especially since most people assume politicians are trying to snowball them. This is one of the largest factors in political disengagement, so I understand an unwillingness to wade through the waters.

That's why I love talking to people that are genuinely interested in politics and open to new ideas. Conversation like that is critical to engaging citizens, one person at a time.

Glad you enjoyed the blog!

...jk. That was a great article, and you srsly made some great points. As a film major, the whole dog and pony show of presidential elections is just one massive propaganda machine; kind of like American Idol, actually. And I agree with T - I would be extremely interested in a political blog from you; whether or not you make one is up to you. I think one of the reasons people always want to talk to you about politics is that they KNOW you're more informed than they are... however, they don't realize that means them finding out how wrong or ignorant they are.

Dammit, now I want Chicago pizza. I'll settle by watching more Bambino!

Yeah, I don't have a problem with people coming to me with their opinions so much as when they come to me with a closed mind. People that are unwilling to accept the possibility that they could be wrong in their "beliefs" only serve to annoy me.

I would love to rant aimlessly in a political blog! *wanders off to create one*

*wanders back*

CHICAGO PIZZA FTW.

Being President of the United States is like being a guild leader...
