So, you can save a bit of cash by switching off from CT Light & Power. A few years ago, I had a different supplier, then they disappeared and it seemed like there wasn't a lot of competition. But apparently, there is a lot. Here's a page where you can enter your energy usage and it'll tell you how much you'll save with another supplier. Probably

It is still encouraging that you can buy clean energy for anywhere near traditional source cost. I used to get my from Green Mountain energy, but I think they don't serve CT any more. It is an interesting product - people pay more for the same amount of power, willingly. It helps to drive the costs down, over time, but I wonder if it is more effective to take that money and put it into something else related, such as investment in solar research or something...?
