People holding garage sales and selling toys or clothing of children could be breaking the law and subject to government enforcement or lawsuits, because of the "Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008." The guy who wrote this article wonders - is it really about safety, or is it about stopping sales of used items so that people will buy

I wonder what something like this means for freecycle - which to me is something that helps my children's future by making one mans trash truly another mans treasure?

I don't know, but I'd say its best practice to donate anonymously.
