Oh, thank you, new upstairs neighbor, for ringing the doorbell repeatedly and then knocking on the door at 3am. I loved that! Here is how the conversation went:

New Neighbor: I am so worried! My smoke alarm is going off and I can't sleep!
Me: I don't hear it going off.
NN: Well, it's just one beep every so often!
Me: You need a new battery okay
