Why is it sometimes that people on LJ can make me cry with an entry and I don't even spend time with them in the real world? Maybe they're too far away or we're really just aquaintences. the most recent was a 50 year old writer in Chicago, who, recalling the day he met his wife, said:
"23 years ago, Dementia started a new job. Her day ended at 5 PM, and by 4 she had met far too many friendly new people. At about 4:15 the last new person of the day wandered by to introduce himself; Dementia smiled politely and quietly wished he would go away.
I didn't."
for the most part, I love LJ. It's by far my favorite of the online "get to know new people" things.
