first off, unfortunately they are allowed to look at your inspection sticker and give you a ticket. thats what they do, it sucks but hey you gotta live with that. secondly, i do agree with you about suffolk and nassau cops. they are the most overpaid assholes ever. they have the oldest officers in the country i think and all they do now is bother people. personally if i was a police officer, i wouldnt ticket for inspection unless it was far overdue or if i checked that you got a ticket before for it and did nothing about it. i would though however give you a warning. as much as you say nyc cops are good they are really not. they actually have a more demanding quota for giving out tickets and i remember reading in the post that someone got a ticket for unlawfully using a milk crate. they guy got a $50 ticket for sitting on a milk crate. although on the other hand my uncle is a nyc cop so i really dont have a problem with cops. the thing is they are allowed to give you a ticket if they see your inspection is up. thats why you
