Observations at foxwoods
I went to foxwoods tonight and played some more quality poker.
Everytime I go to Foxwoods I like to make an observation about it.
This journey's observation is the fact that there are cigarette holder/ashrays in the bathroom. You know, in case you have to take a leak or sit on the thrown and need a nicotine kick at the same time...you're more than ( Read more... ) -
A great day for dork-kind
Yesterday was "International Talk like a Pirate Day."
Saddly I was stuck in a meeting all day so I was unable to really get out my "Yargh"s and my "avasts" and calling female employees wenches without being slapped with a sexual harassment suit.

The Red Sox, Drunks on the T, and Hootie (not neccsarily in that order)
My day was vaguely planned at 10:25 a.m. today.
I was going to watch ESPN College Football Gameday until like 11:30. I was going to take a shower. Take jaunt over to Plymouth to the Verizon store and see if I can get a free upgrade phone, because mine has been, to put it nicely, craptastic.

Childhood music I have stuck in my head (ripped off from workblog)
I started humming a really familiar song on Saturday.
And I couldn't figure it out at first.

Pitches can have funny names
I'm a little behind the eight-ball on this topic, but still think it's noteworthy.
Jonathan Papelbon, the closer for the Boston Red Sox, came up with a new shutdown pitch.
He calls it, "The Slutter."
