What a great day today.  It started at 8:30 am with coffee in bed and a chat with Sue.  Then we had a great surprise when Bridge brought Sheira over for a visit.  A very pregnant and happy, Sheira, I might add!  Then Em and I had to rush downtown to meet Muff, Doug, Jesse, Meg and Travis for lunch (thank again for that, by the way!).  We had a very

Whew! We were home before 9 (a blisteringly fast stop at IKEA to pick up the bar stools and sideboard included) and have now topped up with tea and I'm heading for a bath.

Thank YOU for lunch -- and the photos! I ate way to much and should probably not have had room for dinner, but I prepared one of Sue's and my fave dishes so I ate two helpings. So did she. Oh well.

Sounds as though you were speed shopping at Ikea! Quite a long day for you two! What fabulous parents you are!!!

Thanks for joining us for lunch. It is always great to see you and Em.
We got the 5 pm ferry back. We were the first car on (and later first off) the boat so we had a wonderful unobstructed view.
A short and successful stop at Ikea and we were home before 9.
I now have a cat curled up on my lap so I have to type with one hand - but life is still good and there is still one day left in the weekend.

Thanks for the photos, too! It was a nice (short) visit. Em sounds keen to get up to you when your renos are finished, so it will probably be our turn next.

That was one long day for you two! Must have spent the whole of Sunday recovering!! Did you go to Richmond Ikea or the big one?

Cats can be a pain, can't they? Poor Beau got in a fight last week and he's been shaved, drugged, washed and suffered many other indignities (think the taking of his temperature!) since. Silly cat!

Well, must go and stir my stew...and let Beau in as I see him heading for my door. Have a happy Sunday!
