This turned out a bit darker/kinkier than I expected. I don't mean it to be non-con, but it could certainly be read that way, so be warned.

It wasn't exactly a secret that they were both in love with different people. It wasn't even a secret that they didn't even really like each other.

But that made it easier, most of the time. They understood how the other felt--they just didn't respect it.

"I bet he doesn't even know," Piper snarls at him, tangling her fingers in his hair and forcing Nico to look at her. "I bet he doesn't even care," she says, as she pushes him away.

Nico recovers, grabs her wrists. "Or he knows, but he just doesn't want you," he snarls right back at her, pinning her against the wall, her hands over her head. She struggles to break his grip, her teeth bared. Nico just transfers both of her wrists to one hand and tightens his hold, pressing his body against hers. "He'll never want you like this," he whispers, forcing his knee between her legs. She wills herself not to react
