To celebrate the upcoming release The Lost Hero and the start of the new Heroes of Olympus series, pjo_fic_battle is deviating from its usual prompt battle form to host a drabble meme!
First time writing for the Percy Jackson fandom. Hope it's not too bad ;; But the prompt was too amusing to pass up!
“Ah, Percy, good to see you,” Poseidon slapped his son on the shoulder, the sixteen year old sagging under the weight, “I called you here because it’s about time we had ‘the talk’.”
“Um, dad …” Percy trailed off, not sure to explain that his mother and new stepfather had already been over that with him. He knew what sex was and all that good stuff. Did he have to sit through another embarrassing talk of what goes where and why?
Poseidon blinked and waved a hand through the water, dismissing the interruption. “Now, son, before you go getting ahead of yourself. It’s not that talk. See, Demi Gods are a bit different from regular mortals. When they settle down, they settle down for life.” He gave his son a piercing look. “I hear you and Annabeth have gotten close these days. Are you both sure you’re ready for the commitment

OH HAI BB. Three guess who this anon is?! Sort of defeats the purpose of going anon that you know who I am but whatever, I AM ACTUALLY THE WORLD’S BIGGEST PRUDE, DID YOU KNOW? AND I CANNOT EXPLAIN THIS ENTIRELY BIZARRE SMUT AUTHORSHIP HABIT I’VE DEVELOPED SINCE I DISCOVERED THIS FANDOM, WTF I'VE BEEN CORRUPTED BY A YOUNG ADULT FANDOM, W. T. H. Anyway, let’s not lie, I did look through all the prompts I could think of so that I could post this somewhere on a meme after I’d actually written it, so it pretty much bears no resemblance to your prompt, except that it is about Annabeth and Rachel. Also, it is not at all the thing I actually wanted to write for you... though I still do have that in my head, I just couldn’t write it tonight. That one is even a real live proper response to a prompt, that someone might actually want to read. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this bb, it’s all I could manage tonight - also, apparently Rachel knowing too much about Percy and Annabeth’s sex life is the theme of the day. Please forgive obnoxiously long

“It’s ten thirty,” Rachel repeats.
“Okay. What’s at ten thirty?”
“My exhibition’s today. You both said you’d come.”
“Didn’t you say eleven?”
“I was just checking you were still coming.”
“Why wouldn’t we be?”
“It’s Sunday morning.”
Percy kind of collapses on top of Annabeth then, his shoulders shaking as he laughs, breathless, into her breastbone. Minutes later, when he finally has enough breath in his body to form a whole sentence, he says into the phone, “A necessary precaution, as it turns out.”
“Well, yeah,” Rachel agrees, sounding less than impressed, “You two aren’t the most subtle people I’ve ever met.”
“What are you two talking about?” Annabeth demands, tugging the phone back. “Rachel?”
But it’s Percy who answers, “Rachel knows neither of us works on Sundays.”
“So?”
“And she, ah, knows us well enough to speculate about what we do do on Sunday mornings... when neither of us works
