I finished Komon last night, steam-pressed it this morning* and am wearing it to work. (-:
Nine days of knitting and two long-ish evenings spent seaming it up and weaving in a bazillion slippery rayon ends. And I wasn't even particularly trying to finish this one quickly.
I credit two things:

It's working. All that's left in my stash right now is a bag of miscellaneous worsted wool, good for small felting projects, the sock yarn I plan to knit up on my coming trip, a couple of skeins of Hand Maiden SeaSilk that are designated for a yet-to-be-completed shawl pattern, and some lace-weight yarn that's waiting for me to feel like tackling another large-scale shawl project.
