Leopard gecko Tango

Feb 12, 2008 00:44

I had put my gerbils into the bathroom whilst I was away for the weekend. When I came home I put them on the bed, I looked up at my leopard gecko box to see Tango staring intently, as if fascinated, at the gerbils. He's never seen any before

Maybe he's hungry, and wonders what they taste like ...

They're a lot bigger than he is, even the babies are at least three times his size.

Tango will get around three times the size he is now, but even then the largest mouse a leopard gecko would eat is a newborn pinky. My adult female has gotten defrosted baby mice when a baby snake declines a meal.

All three of my geckos will stare intently at my snakes when they see them and most lizard species consider snakes a threat, maybe Tango was staring at the gerbils because he thought they might eat them and wanted to keep an eye on them?
