So this weekend, I went to fanime as Lucas with my girlfriend, who cosplayed Dawn (her cosplay was better than mine imo), so I ended up getting a LOT, losing a small bag, and replacing it and getting more. On the note of the lost bag, it was an orange plastic bag with a Giratina cell phone strap, Palkia keychain with masterball, buneary plush head with foam body, ears, and limbs, a zip-up Gengar that transforms into a Pokeball, and some other stuff that my ADD prevents me from really remembering. I doubt anyone here found it, but if they did, I'd really like to know.
Anyway, out of emo mode and onto all my gets (wall of pics)!
Comprehensive view of Saturday gets (excluding some things due to space constraints)
The hat from my Lucas costume is getting teabagged by the Heartless hat I got and ended up wearing Sunday
Grail Get! I kept seeing this online and just had to get it when I finally found it
Jizzy Palkia. I can really think of no better way to describe it.
Giratina/Pokedex keychain. It says Giratina is 6.9 meters. That would be so much more epic if it was Palkia.
I found some Keshipoke at this book store and was too lazy to organize these pictures by location in which they were obtained.
The first Keshipoke I open and it's Palkia. Someone up there likes me.
I ended up getting 2 normal Rotoms, one of which is this one with a transparent backing
Here's the other one, which isn't as cool, but I still like Rotoms even though ghost gets pwned so easily. You can see a bit of my collection before it got too big for this location.
I also found this Palkia at the book store, roaring in pain from that little transparent base thing. I don't blame it, I'd hate to have that rammed between my legs too.
I also found a Regigigas from the same series and got it because I felt like getting more than one.
Here we go with the replacement for the cell phone strap I lost in that bag. My girlfriend bought me another one because she's so awesome.
Holy get Batman, my girlfriend found this Lickilicky Zukan for only a dollar. I don't collect Lickilickies, but it was so worth it.
Here are the 3 kids I got for myself on Saturday. I like how epic the box pictures look.
I heard it's wrong to take so many pictures of kids, but I can't really see why...
I love Artists' Alley. If you like these as much as I do, check out that site on the button, nikkiecole.deviantart.com
Never really thought much of Magmortars before, but you know they ARE pretty boss-looking.
My girlfriend got this for me. Isn't it awesome? Shieldons are pretty epic.
Another grail get. I love how it naturally flops to the side in some sort of epic fly-by pose. This thing is over a foot long and is currently teabagging my entire plush collection. When I get my organizers up, I'll make a collection post.
Grail get from the same people who had Teabagtina (I might start calling that Giratina by that name...) It's also an assembly figure, so let's see if I'm up to the task...
Oh my gosh...
Too many pieces. This thing didn't even come with an instruction booklet.
That leg actually was a bit difficult to get on...
but it was so worth it.
...I couldn't help myself D;
It's American, but I still love it. Corphish is a boss.
I love how well Japanese stickers are made. I got my girlfriend an even better sheet of stickers...
Oh snap, wild Mew appeared!
I used a master ball.
Gotcha! Wild Mew was caught! I actually got this off ebay, not at fanime, but didn't want to make a fascile update and waste space on the group page.
BK Mew my mom got off Ebay. I still prefer the one my girlfriend made, but I like Mews no matter what they look like (unless it's one of those creepy ones, then other people who would appreciate them more can keep them).
BK Charizard. I remember when I was 9 or 10 and all I wanted in the world was a Charizard card.
I actually found these mystery bottles on Sunday. They're really fun to be honest.
Is your neck sore? I'm sorry, I'm just extremely lazy since I have over 100 pictures in this post. Anyway, I like Latias because it's a girl and my girlfriend got an extra Chikorita and gave it to me.
I was checking this out Saturday and finally got it Sunday. I finally have somewhere to keep my cards :D
These sold out so fast. I only got one because my girlfriend said it was Togekiss since it has Togekiss on the top.
I slightly wish she had been right, but Machamp's cool too.
Drink Turquaz and you'll be good at HOOPS. That's what I'm going to call Cresselia from now on: HOOPS!
These were DX kids. I didn't really like any of the other ones, so I just got HOOPS and Heatran.
You'll have kids. TOO MANY KIDS. I also got a couple clipping figures in here.
Magmortar is extremely epic. Look at it's arm cannon!
Torterra doesn't live up to my expectations, but I still like Turtwig.
It's an old Meowth mystery kid! My girlfriend forbade me from eating the candy just because it was made 10 years ago. I remember getting a Lego set because it was for ages 7+ and I had just turned 7 at the end of 1998, but anyways...
Groudon and Lugia. My favorite store had these at the convention, but they didn't have the Leafeon figure I wanted. Oh well, these are epic enough to compensate for now...
I found this one without its box. It's the only Takara Tomy figurine that I haven't kept in mint condition (since it didn't come in mint condition).
These are ancient roller stamps. I believe it also came with Eevee, but I traded it to my girlfriend for Bulbasaur.
The ink is leaking severely, but I love them anyway
This came with a lot of candy. They had so much more Palkia stuff than Mew stuff.
See? Lots of candy. You should see my pile of candy from this weekend. What's crazy is I already ate some and it still looks the way it does.
This one actually came in a box, unlike Giratina. I don't know and I'm not sure if I want to know why...
This one pops up in the air. I made a short video clip of it that I may upload later and put in my journal or something.
replacement for the lost masterball Palkia. It makes me slightly sad that I lost all those things, especially since I'm so broke now.
Palkia's just checking itself out now. I can't read much on there since it's all in Japanese ;o
My pictures are so disorganized. Palkia looks like it's in pain (as usual)
You may have noticed earlier that big Palkia was holding up the card. I just had to go back and take a bigger picture of it.
Irony is cruel.
Big Palkia be reppin'
My girlfriend got an extra skymin and gave it to me. I foudn it surprising that the person dressed up as skymin didn't use the term to describe herself.
This goes well with the Gallade freebie I got with my Jakks Palkia figure. Sexist evolutions are weird.
Azelf is my favorite of this generation's subordinate legendary threesome. Uxie has terrible attacks in the game and Mesprit is annoying to chase because I'm a lazybutt.
Here are some things my mom got me. She's the best mom ever. I already got a Spiritomb at fanime, but I kept the one my mom gave me since she went to the trouble of buying it for me. Roserade was intended for my girlfriend, so it was a bit of a trade.
Silver Gliscor medallion. I would take it out of the plastic, but I want to keep it as nice as possible.
Ash and Pikachu trading card. My girlfriend got Shaymin I believe. I love these little candies.
I know, not Pokemon, but my mom got them and I'm clueless as to what they are.
Oh man, epic Spiritombage.
This content may not be suitable for all audiences. Viewer discretion is advised. I don't know WHY we never see this part of Spiritomb...
the roses look like Barret's gun... GUNS N ROSES!
Time for an end-of-the-night grail build! My girlfriend spotted this for $6.00
Palkia will just have to wait for later...
Are you serious? It comes with candy? Japanese people really know what kids like...
The rings were pretty hard to get on since they were stickers, but they eventually stuck. I thought Giratina's mouth cover thing opened, but the box was just saying that it could turn its head.
a game my mom got. No, I didn't lose the game, although I did a lot this weekend...
Monday gets! My girlfriend couldn't come because her mom wouldn't let her. I felt lonely going all alone, but oh well...
I got Magmortar because it's a boss
got a couple more bottles for fun. I like Cyndaquil :D
finally was able to replace my Gengar and finally bothered to buy that Azelf. It was only $15.00, and had been hiding, so I decided to get it.
sad that I lost the first Gengar, but oh well...
It's all metallic and stuff D;
Jizzy Giratina = Jizzytina.
more buttons from Artist Alley. I got the The World Ends With You and Two Girls One Up ones from the Halolz.com booth, but the TWEWY ones say Ninja-Bot.com on them for some reason. The Pokemon ones were from another artist, but I don't know who... Halolz.com was also doing this promotion where they gave out a free shiny lvl 5 Mudkip and if you bought the Magikarp shirt (which I will take a picture of later), you got a free lvl 100 shiny Magikarp with hyper beam, zap canon, octazooka, and spacial rend with some awesome pp boosts. The Fanime giveaway was a lvl 50 Togekiss.
I managed to find some clipping figures, that kid, and the castle thing outside of fanime. All I can say is San Jose's Japan Town is severely limited, but not too limited.
I felt like getting another one of the medallions myself just to see what I got.
I got a black Garchomp coin :D
Our Gachapon make me sad. Why do we not get the big ones like Britain? America must be too cheap. Oh well, at least I didn't already have a Bidoof...
I never did manage to find a mow Rotom. Oh well, at least this one's pretty chill.
First clipping figure opened and no way. No effin way. Someone up there really likes me.
I still didn't get a Togekiss, but Dusknoir is pretty cool too. The third clipping figure was another Machamp, which I plan to give to my girlfriend.
More candy! I never DID take an assembled picture of this. Oh well. See that Leafeon? I wanted it instead, but this Garchomp was the only one they had.
Time for the ultimate grail build.
As you can see, I had to move the rest of my collection to the other room. Palkia is the best Mega Bloks set I've ever gotten. They also had Dialga and Darkrai, but I was too broke and still hadn't gone to Artists' Alley.
I'm terrible at taking pictures of myself, but this shirt is seriously epic.
That about wraps up my Fanime 09 gets. Japanese people get all the best Pokemon toys and Fanime is where us Americans can get some of it. Not only is there so much to buy, but there's cosplaying, gaming, and the PikaPika photo booth thing as well. This is the first 3-day weekend that has felt like 3 days in a good way. If that bag ever turns up, I'll make sure to make its contents available to the community. If you read through this whole thing, you deserve a prize, but I'm seriously broke after this weekend. Be sure to check out nikkiecole.deviantart.com, halolz.com, and ninja-bot.com if you liked any of the art you saw. I know I want to get this Katamari shirt from halolz that they ran out of at the convention.
