rare metal figures! :D
i just won this set this morning for, well, a lot more than i expected XD but that's the power of a raichu i've searched for years for proof of and never managed to find in 10 years of collecting:
BLUE METAL RAICHU!! found for me by the amazering jaxtoys!!!
now for some metal collection history and education! :D see the raichu? i only ever found the pewter versions of the two metal collection raichus made (one during the original 1997 release and a second during RSE generation). historically each metal figure has 5 different color variations and it can be extremely difficult to get all of them even if the set just came out. the oldest sets had variations such as metallic purple, blue and green, along with pewter, copper, and occasionally gold (but back in 1997 gold and silver colors were usually reserved for keshipoke's predecessors, keshimon). examples of metal figures vrs. smaller keshimon in the middle four here.
so yeah, if i am correct, i've got 3 more colors on the original to go, and 4 more on the newer one to go XD and i've looked for years and the blue is the first time i've seen a color variant besides the one i've got. and the new metal raichu i've only ever seen one on sale at all (the one i now have). stupid metal collection >=|
which brings me to my next point. this set was extremely expensive and will be even more to ship (even inside japan, oh boy XD). so i'll need to get them sold right when i get back home in 5 days! i'm posting them now to gauge interest, see who i should sell flat (for 5$ each) or who i should auction off. the sale will be next week, so just let me know so i can get an idea what to do with them! thanks guys~
