FINALLY GOT OUT OF VIRIDIAN FOREST!

Everyone was telling me how to beware of Weedles and Poison Sting, beware of Caterpie and String Shot, but no one warned me about the most dangerous thing - HOW NOT TO GET LOST! Got no idea how everyone else made their way out of the forest. I seriously thought I was going to spend the rest of my life in there! ( Read more... )

I'm glad you were able to get out of the forest, Kirihara! Although you might want to watch out for those scratches in case they get infected. I'm sure the PokeCenter in Pewter has some bandages they wouldn't mind giving out.~

Pfft, I wouldn't want to see a Pidget ruin your cool hairstlye~

Best of luck at Pewter's Gym! The dual rock types there can be kind of tricky.

Me too, especially with how wet the weather's been lately! Eh, I guess I should treat these cuts sooner rather than later, huh? Although I always seem to get scratched and bruised so this is nothing new.

Hehe, right? I knew you'd understand~!

Ou, thanks! I'll definitely give it everything I got!

Ooh, I can't imagine how muddy and wet Viridian forest must have been with all of the rain. Luckily you were able to get out of there since the rain doesn't seem like its stopping anytime soon.

Of course! I've been wanting to style my hair like yours actually~

Anytime! I'm really looking forward to hear how things go.

Ugh, this rain looks like it'll last forever. It's hard to train Cottonee like this because she absorbs all this rainwater and gets super heavy.

I can introduce you to my hairdresser in Celadon next time~ ♪ Ah, but Shiraishi's hair is cool too!

[OOC: No, Shiraishi, noooooo, don't change your hairstyle! ;A;!! ]

Professor Yanagi was correct in his warning as always. Pidgeys love to make a nest on your head! I remember when my Pidgeot was still a Pidgey, man, the crazy things I found in my hair! But when you're about to chide them, they're just too adorable and you end up letting them do it again~ That aside, I would definitely recommend you catch a bird Pokemon. Not only are they the most beautiful creatures alive They'll keep the pesky bugs away and they can fly up above the trees and tell you which way to go if you get lost; hoothoots are especially good at this when it starts getting dark.

You're a Gym Leader from Johto, right? Ehehe, thanks for confirming that I definitely won't be capturing a Pidgey anytime soon. But I did see a couple Sparrows the other day so maybe I'll try catching one of those! Do Sparrows usually nest on people's heads?

Oh, a Hoot Hoot will definitely be helpful if I have to tackle another forest but I'll probably have to wait till I can get to Johto before I can find one of those.

Yeah, Kisarazu Atsushi of the Violet City Gym. I look forward to your eventual challenge, future number 1! Kusu kusu.

While Spearows can potentially mess up your hair more when they're being territorial, they don't bury things in the tangles of your hair. No random branches, berries, caterpies or magikarp flopping on your head Also, they "leave the nest" much quicker than Pidgeottos when they evolve into Fearows and take to circling above you rather than squishing your head glomping you as Pidgeottos and even Pidgeot sometimes revert back to do.

Hehe, so you know about how I want to be Number One? News sure travels fast 'round here~

Mm, now that sounds more like my kind of bird Pokemon! I'll take circling above my head over nesting my head any day! Whoa, wouldn't it be really bad if a Pidgeot tried to bury itself in your head?! Even if it means well, those talons look like they could really hurt!

You got los- never mind.
You made it through, and it looks like in one piece.
The forest probably was a really good place for your Charmander to get battle experience.

Best of luck with the gym!

Yeah, yeah, you can say it. *huffs* I got lost, so there. So what if my sense of direction in forests really sucks. This wouldn't have happened if I was in a cave instead!

Ou, thanks~!

You're better navigating in a cave than a forest? I wonder why that is...
But then again, I'm better with open sky above me, or water.

'Cause you grew up riding Lapras, right? I grew up going on excavations with my dad - he's an archaeologist - so I'm pretty used getting around caves and underground places! Urk, now that I think of it, I'm going to be hopeless finding my way on water too ...
