Work in Olivine City was keeping me busy, but I finally got some time off to go to Viridian City and the flight on Swellow was very smooth. The festivities going on in Viridian City are still very lively despite the massive storm of Magikarp. I have no doubt that all of the energy will last until the end of the month

I have eight badges from Johto, but I have not challenged the Elite Four. I am choosing to get the other eight badges before I face them.

Would you be one of them as well? I'm presuming you are Celadon's Gym Leader, Shiraishi Kuranosuke, but I want to make sure. Professor Yanagi told me at dinner the other day that he met with the Celadon Gym Leader and he had captured a Petilil as well.

I do plan on challenging all of the Kanto gyms before taking on the Elite Four. I am confident that I can do this.

I can assure you that I will be facing you at the best of my ability with Pokemon that will have an advantage over yours. I will pass the compliment along to Professor Yanagi and thank you in return as well. He is an observant and helpful person who does want the best for others (despite his sarcastic teasing). He can be quite strict and precise with very high expectations. I respect him greatly and hope I can represent his teachings well.

Yes, I have already challenged all of the gyms in Johto and succeeded in getting all eight badges. I know that my journey through Kanto will be considerably harder, but I am up to the task.
