Today is my birthday; I turn 23. It feels like only yesterday that I started my Pokémon journey, especially coupled with this adorable Spheal that hatched from the egg Atobe gave me. We can call her an early birthday present~

I've been really enjoying the festivities in Viridian. They do seem to get more and more extravagant each year! I loved the ( Read more... )

SAHGIOH Go away Shiraishi! Ugh, fine.

Happy Birthday!

You happy, now?

Hmmm... I think you should say it again to make it a hundred percent certain he heard you.

Seriously, I hope you have a good birthday. Man, I can't believe that you are already 23, time sure does fly.

So your Espeon is still picky as ever when I saw it last? I've been hearing a lot about Marui's poffins. I need to stop by his booth before the festival is over! They sound amazing from what everyone has been saying.

Yeah, I think I might have to stay for the Champion and Gym Leaders battle. It sounds like its going to be the battle of the century! I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there were raffle tickets... you should go ahead and bet.

Oh thank you~ It's so strange thinking about the numbers. I remember thinking that 20 was so old. But look at where we are now~

He only likes dry food! I just don't understand him at all. You definitely need to try them~ They're the best poffins I've had in a very long time. There's just over 2 weeks left to the festival so you'll need to get there soon.

I'm really interested in the arena that's being built. Maybe there will be some spectacular terrain challenges, too! I wouldn't even be surprised if there were food and drinks being sold in the stands, like some sporting events. I think I'd put my money on Yukimura - he is the Champion after all! And I think he'd probably do something terrible to everyone who bet against him.

Anytime! Right? Its kind of strange how the older we get the more nonchalant we become about our birthdays. I remember that! I remember being in awe of you finally reaching the 20 year mark when I was still 19. Good times.~

He likes dry food? Oh wow, I don't think most people can even stomach dry food. Pokemon have weird tastes sometimes. Have you tried giving Espeon dried Pokeblocks? Oh!! I'll make sure to get some before it ends! Shiraishi also told me that his cooking is like heaven, apparently.

Oh I bet! This is probably going to be one of the biggest events in Kanto, ever. I'm sure its going to be broadcasted on live TV. Something like this only happens once in a life time.~ Same here! As much as I want to cheer for Sanada, I would definitely have to think Yukimura will end up totally dominating, he is an amazing battler. Irk, I hope he doesn't see this comment... ... I fear for the people who bet or cheer against him.

I recall some form of taunting about being over the hill back then... Perhaps I'm remembering the wrong cousin? Though you're still the brat you always were~

Espeon definitely has the strangest tastebuds. I was almost afraid he wouldn't like Blissey's cooking, but it seems I'm the only one with the problem. I'll try the dried Pokéblocks next, though it'll be a while till they can have sweets again! I would say that his cooking is pretty much the best you're going to get unless you can really splurge on something super fancy!

It might even be easier to watch it on TV; so many people will come out just to see this! Yukimura can be really scary... Hopefully he doesn't take too much of an issue with who you want to cheer for~

A Happy Birthday to you, Yuushi!

Those poffins are rather addictive. My Pokemon keep wanting to have them since we've been in Viridian the entire month, and I have to insist that they limit themselves to once every three days.

Since I know all of their data, I'm comfortable in saying that I'm putting my vote on the Champion's side. It will be an intense battle with close moments though :)

Why thank you, Professor~

They definitely aren't the best for Pokémon to have all the time! I'm glad you're limiting their poffin intake. I would hate to see who shows up to my clinic after this festival with a Pokémon who's eaten one too many...

It should be the most exciting thing to happen for a while~ I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the teams work together - it'll be a first for me.

You're very welcome.

They're... persistent (what else would you expect of a group of fire Pokemon?). However, they know that I'm always doing the best for them so they're okay with it. Have you been busy at the clinic?

Well, I hope that this event doesn't fail to disappoint!

It's good when Pokémon understand you're just trying to look out for them. Some are just like petulant children! The clinic's been reasonably quiet since the festival, but I imagine there will be tons of people rushing in afterwards. I've been able to duck out to Viridian for a few days at a time with careful scheduling.

With your data, you should know if it'll be disappointing or not~

Hope you have a good birthday, Yuushi-kun.

The intensity of the wind ruined my umbrella. 8| And my Pokemon insisted on staying outside with Wartortle to take care of the Magikarp swarm. I have never been happier to be inside in the warm and dry and I'm glad that's what you're experiencing too.

You should pick a side, but not bet any money unless you are completely certain. Losing money is not a good feeling.

Thank you, Yagyuu~

The rain is pretty miserable, isn't it? Hopefully you'll be able to get a new umbrella. I'm glad my Pokémon don't have a particular affinity for the water! It's good that you're not stuck out there anymore though.

But the money is part of the excitement of betting~ I can put it in the "entertainment" part of my budget.

Anytime, Yuushi-kun.

Quite a few of my Pokemon are water types and we were out training before the storm hit. But yes, I am glad to not be out there anymore.

That's fair enough, Yuushi-kun. I can't afford to spend any of my money so I'll just be watching. I hope that victory sides with you.

I suppose I can't blame them. If I was a water Pokémon, the rain probably would be the equivalent to a nice warm room to me, too!

Haha, just watching will be exciting enough, anyway. But thank you again~

Well thank you~ I certainly am having a very good time so far. It's nice to just relax at home sometimes~

You must be one of the new trainers I've been hearing about. I'm Oshitari Yuushi, a Pokémon doctor. My clinic is just outside of Saffron City, in case you ever run into some problems!

Oh, a Pokemon doctor! Cool, I'll pop by for a visit when I get around to Saffron~! I'm Kirihara Akaya, by the way!

Happy birthday again, hehe~
