Finally heard directly from my youngest sister, who lives in Alabama, for the first time since Wednesday afternoon. The family is fine. The house not so much-losing most of its shingles and a part of the roof peak. They have no power, no cell signal and no internet. Thank goodness you finally heard from them and everyone is okay. I'd wondered after hearing about the storms hitting Alabama.

Yeah. It was pretty nerve wracking. We were texting back and forth earlier in the day as the first couple of storms came through but I lost contact with her later in the afternoon. All I could do then was hop on Google Earth and punch in her address and try to compare that with what The Weather Channel was showing on the radar. And from what I could tell it looked like the storms were headed straight for her. When I talked to her on Sunday she said that one tornado had passed 2 blocks north of her and another had passed 2 blocks east. The church were she and Steve got married in Cullman was almost completely destroyed. I thought that I had recognized the church when TWC was showing footage of the Cullman damage. It gave me a shiver when she verified it.
