Japan - Entry 5 (Hiroshima)

Yesterday, it took most of the day to get out to Hiroshima. I took a Hikari bullet train as far as Shin-Osaka, and then had to switch to a slower bullet train. Well, not really slower - just one having more stops. Anyway, the whole trip out here, hotel door to hotel door, took about 7.5 hours (5.5 hours on trains and the balance on the Tokyo

Wow. I've always wanted to visit Hiroshima. That must have been really something.

I just saw a documentary last weekend about whether there was sufficient "need" to use the bomb. I had to stop watching it because I couldn't take the archival footage of the victims.
