This was one of the best vacations ever. We actually didn't want to go home, and told each other that a good length for a vacation was definitely more than 14 days. ;)
That looks like a very fun trip, except for the chicken pox. I'll admit, I'd never heard of Zadar before (according to wikipedia, it's in Croatia. Is that right?) But I'm an American and it's well known we know very little about the world at large ;P But it looks gorgeous, maybe I need to scheduale a vacation to Eastern Europe. You know, when we have the money.
Very pretty family, Cel. And you look amazing too. BTW, first time I've seen you.
Yes, it's in Croatia, and you get 10 points for searching it in Wikipedia. I'll look forward to you taking that vacation in Eastern Europe - give you tips and treat you to a bed and breakfast in Ljubljana (Slovenian capital) if we EVER manage to make the den of our basement livable. And thanks for the compliments! :)
Don't worry. By the time I get to Eastern Europe, I'm sure you'll have the den done. Of course, the kids might be done with college by that point too... Of course, if you could recommend some good Easter European beers that might help convince my husband. ;P
Thanks for sharing your photos, dear! I had to go to the library asap in order to see them well, and I have concluded that Gaja may take after you! :) Wow-- how does one get lucky enough (or work one's bottom off) to be able to take such lovely vacations? I may be jealous, yet again. *LOL* Being a stupid American stinks today ;)
Dear - really, it's just LUCK! Because we live less than an hour drive away from a seacoast and less than 4 hours drive away from Zadar itself. As for the vacation, the place is really pretty, but really it was a very simple, basic vacation, you know? We were in an apartment in an apartment house in a backward village 30 minutes out from Zadar, no special services, we cooked all our own meals (we did go out to eat once) etc... it was no wallowing in luxuries, just basically being there. (And of course that was quite enough, really.) So it may look like a special vacation, but it was quite a simple and budget one! And if you ever make it over here... *grin, hint hint*
