Why am I here again? was a question that had been running through Kallen's mind. Lelouch had told her that she had needed to get out, and she was not going to lie that he wanted personal time as well as to get some rec. time for herself. She didn’t tend to mind so much since she really hadn’t been even getting out even since she was at home in Japan. She found a local boutique and picked up a very nice black dress for the "special occasion". The dress had a high collar almost choker like style, but showed off some her shoulders and mid-back. The front of the dress was bunched up, but it had a diamond shape opening in the front that showed some cleavage. “Damn stupid things….”, she muttered to herself as she put the dress on. The dress went to about mid thigh showing off her legs. For shoes she was wearing 2 inch heels. Overall she was surprised at how girly she looked when she left the room, though it was a dress that she would probably be comfortable wearing on Earth
( ... )
As could only be expected, the dice did their trick and the atmosphere had suddenly become very tense as a lot of people found themselves lacking a lot of money suddenly. The no-longer-highroller slunk to the slots, feeling mildly ashamed and obviously uncomfortable with the bad feelings being suddenly directed towards him. Reno always found that sort of behavior from the gamblers silly, because the turn of bad luck would've happened eventually anyway, considering odds. And overall the young man had probably still won them some good money.
He sighed heavily and leaned over the polished wood, smiling faintly to a young woman as she emerged; the black dress looked lovely on her, though faintly at odds with her bright pink hair. It was certainly an interesting combination, especially considering the somewhat boyish way she was moving. And drinking, he thought to himself with half-amused surprise, mildly impressed. She didn't look like a hard drinker, anyway. "New in town?"
Kallen couldn't help but laugh at the game in front of her. These...people were so inept in such trivial matters such as money, and these games, that it was all slightly amusing. Especially, when there was more...pressing matters going on in the universe. But why was she thinking of such matters now, this was suppose to be her free night after all.
Kallen tried very hard not to glare at the man next to her as she looked he looked her over appreciatingly. What has he never seen a good lucking woman who can hold her liquor before? She then turned and stared at him for a second, but instead of speaking she grabbed another drink. And she turned back to the table, and she smirked slightly since he didn't realize how ironic that question was, "Yes, you could say that...I guess.", she then sipped her champagne, but at a less rugged pace.
He made a soft sound of derision. Feisty, but easily annoyed. His type of person to befriend, sure, since they certainly made life more interesting but he wasn't particularly in the mood to deal with someone getting upity at him as quickly as possible. He got that enough from the head and his right-hand man, Tseng. Especially today, when they'd decided he was being lazy in his duties enough that they relegated him to keeping people from winning too much money. Of all the stupid things.
"You guess..?" He smirked faintly and shrugged, glancing at the entrance. What he wouldn't give to leave for a smoke right now.
