On a happy note, I believe that I can now put on my pants while standing. Might seem kind of insignificant to you, but to me, it's just a sign of the progress that I've made.

Oh, and last week, I figured out I can walk about as fast as I used to be able to.

Small miracles...

As I see it, things are always looking up...and I'm not really an optomist, but I always feel things will get better.

How have you been lately? Married life treating you well? I didn't know Walker was an ex-patient, cool story I assume?

i've been doing alright. just trying to stay positive myself, i suppose. i'm only working on the weekends during the summer (since kiahna is out of school and i didn't want to pay $400 a month for daycare), so i spend most of my days hanging out at the house with her. nothing that exciting. a lot of video games and stuff. nice to have free time, but sometimes, too much free time can be a bad thing.

married life isn't really any different than single life was, actually. maybe it just hasn't "sunk in" yet. or something. i dunno. yeah, walker was my patient for almost a year before we started dating (i thought you knew that from my journal?). he had a heart valve replacement when he was 27, and he was a patient at the clinic i worked for. i met him when i took over the coumaidn clinic in jan. 2005, and you know how the rest of the story goes. we kept it a secret for quite a while before i finally told my coworkers...dating a patient just doesn't sound very good to people. but it worked out well for us, so fuck em!

Must be fun hanging out with Kiahna. I bet spending the quality time with her is fun. Plus, you probably get that sweet weekend shift money, I know at Brack the weekend dif for nurses is more then my basepay.

I hadn't heard about that about Walker, that's really cool though. You never know where you're going to meet someone.
