Saddler pushes the doors to the chapel open with either palm, and sweeps down the aisle. His robes billow with the motion. Overall, Mendez is largely unamused at the temporary chaos that had seemingly decended upon his village.
The chief approaches where Saddler waits at the head of the church, crouching down onto one knee and bowing reverently. Then he looks up, his narrowed, mismatched eyes indicating just how grave he also saw this development.
"It would appear that this has something to do with Lord Salazar?"

"Salazar has proven himself to be most incapable of completing even the simplest tasks that I set before him."
He grips his staff, his knuckles slowly turning white. He paces the dais as he speaks:
"And it seems the repercussions of this particular failure will require us to set a drastic change of plans into motion. Mendez, I am relying on you, as my second-in-command, to help carry out this new strategy. It will require us to visit the Nexus through an agent to gather the proper tools and knowledge, and we must act quickly without drawing attention to ourselves. The ultimate goal is to relocate and seek fresh resources."

"There's several ways we could go about this then. This Nexus...it is a large place. I would think a single Ganado could go largly unnoticed. And seeing that we once had what would seem a large group of them to wind up in there and simply being regarded as comical bunglers...
"Of course, the residents of this place are more than likely on their guard now of our kind, after the little scare with those pups. And after Lord-" He pauses. While the castellan was still a major figurehead in their cult, he was now in a position of...diminished power. As well as respect. "...after Salazar's apparent abduction. Who knows what he's told them or let them in on. I hesitate to bring up such a notion, Master, but ( ... )

"Salazar is not a traitor. Yet. You forget, I have access to his mind. He is merely lacking in confidence. He has been tainted by the Nexus. Crippled by foolish ideas." He snorts.
"This is partially the reason for the change of course. There is no threat of Salazar leaking information to his unworthy companions in the Nexus if he is not privy to our new plans." He clacks his long nails against the surface of the alter as he pauses to think.
"And since you express such enthusiasm, I will leave Nexus reconnaissance in your hands. Begin with a Ganado agent, and should that fail, see if you can't find some Nexusites that will be loyal to our cause...perhaps serve as informants. Our priorities are acquiring a PINpoint, and the locations of several possible dimensions in which we might establish ourselves."
