Monthly round up (November 2006)

Congrats on meeting your NaNo goal - and I agree, the habits re-established are the best part of NaNo. It IS amazing what can be accomplished in fifteen or twenty minutes of time when you're On a tale.

You ARE sooooo a winner!

Been almost a month since your last updated. How are things? Did you make progress on "The Oracle of Bulding 42"?

Speaking of Wierd Tales, I got two rejection letters from them on the same day earlier this month. One was for a story I submitted in March. After six months I figured that they had lost it (I think they moved offices in the interim), so I sent them a different story in October. Got the October story rejected along with the March!

So... nine months on one story, one and a half on the other.

I got another quarter finalist in WotF, too.

Thanks for prodding me!

I've had family visiting for the holidays (just left this morning), so I've hardly had time to get on the computer. Now I'm trying to catch up on everything I've been neglecting (which is hopeless). Pathetically, I've done no writing, revising, or critiquing. Hopefully the New Year resolution thing will help me get back on track!

There must be a reason why they call it Weird Tales! I like reading it, but haven't had great experiences subbing there.

Congrats on the WotF quarter final!
