I think I am going to make this Journal Friends-only, since now all of the people who read it are on LJ. I simply discuss too many sensitive topics on the journal to leave it open to anybody (my parents, if they wanted to, could view it right now

Have you tried thrift stores or garage sales?
Often they're perfectly good, just someone bought a newer model, or, sadly, someone died and their things were donated. Many of the best things come that way.
