What's up with Pook

So what’s up with me?

I do have a chapter of PoM to update, and I’ll try to get it done sometime this weekend.  I haven’t done much writing lately, because I’ve been busy.  This time, work is not the culprit.  As I’ve mentioned before, I’m working on losing weight.  I was at 225 lbs when I started mid January, and I’m now down to 195.  I’ve lost 30 ( Read more... )

It's not cheesy to that little old lady, I bet she feels like she's got her life back.
It's amazing what a better diet and a little daily exercise will do for you. I'm not going crazy with the exercise. I walk mostly, between 1/2 hour and an hour. I'm hoping to get back into water aerobics eventually, but as long as I have a walk everyday, I do pretty well.
It's mind boggling how much being overweight changes your risk of serious illness. Personnaly, I think it's much worse for you than smoking. And most folks don't understand why they need exercise. I read a study a while back, that showed that smokers who got daily exercise were healthier than non-smokers who didn't! That's really saying something!

Congrats on the weight loss and keep on rocking to the next milestone. Don't forget to reward yourself when you hit each goal. A shopping trip with the other-halfs credit card usually works wonders!
I look foward to the next update of PoM and hope you can find the inspiration and menta energy to continue.

Thanks! Igot Dance Dance Revolution for breaking the 200 lb mark, and some new bras, which were desperately needed! Little prizes are so good for morale.

I wish you all sorts of luck -- with the story and the weight. I'm planning on finishing my epic before the 21st as well, and if I'm able to lose some weight between now and then, I'll be a very happy woman.
