RIP John Updike

One of my very favorite writers, John Updike was so accurate in his way of describing the male psyche and married life that it was spooky for me to read his stories. It saddens me that I'll never get to shake his hand.

Sad day indeed, Updike really got it right when he described the mind of a married guy, didn't he?

I was trying to find the simpsons episode with him doing a cameo, but I guess if you want something uploaded to youtube, you gotta upload it yourself...

I read a collection of his short stories about fidelity and marriage when I was on vacation in Europe once, and was totally riveted the entire time. It's absolutely one of my favorite books, ever.
