So, I'm tired but I'm afraid to go to bed this early. Yesterday I went to bed at 11 but woke up around 2 and couldn't sleep again 'till 5. So now I shall weave the tale of yesterday's trip to Cedar Point. Not that anyone will leave comments anyway. Assholes ( Read more... )

Many thanks for the special consideration. If you ever have any questions about my posts, feel free to ask for clarity. I've also got glossy 8x10s if you send a SASE.

I really dislike Six Flags, our "theme park" (providing "crappy" can be a theme). It gives me a taste of what a good roller coaster experience can feel like, but then it just lets me down. Monster Plantation is the greatest gondola-based attraction ever, though, so that's a bit of a redeeming quality.

Monster Plantation is amazing. Also, I really like the Cyclone, and the Batman ride is pretty fun I think. It's been years since I've been to Six Flags, and the old man in the ads scares me away.

Yes. I really like Batman and the Scream Machine and the Cyclone...I actually had forgotten about the Cyclone...but it's really the filth that I remember coating the park and the long, hot, bloated lines and the technical problems that always seem to crop up that take so much away. It has been a while, though, and I hear they're under new management. I don't know if this is the case also in Ohio, of course. It's just the universal grimy feeling that is associated with Six Flags that gets to me.

The old man is excellent. You simply don't understand the genius that is that ad campaign.

i've actually heard a bit about cedar point from spiffy, who has family in ohio and goes there a lot.

in any case, im a big wussy and big roller coasters with loops and things frighten me, tho with enough peer pressure i can be persuaded to ride them.

also, paul is cool and should never leave livejournal ever.

First cool person in this livejournal.

Anyway, I totally forgot that certain rides were even an issue for people? Come on- who is scared of roller coasters? Like, no one. And if they are they suck. We will go and I will drag you onto the Magnum- many times because its amazing with a short line, Power Tower because it is my favorite, Millenium Force- front row of course, and Top Thrill Dragster if it is working. I refuse to go on small rides, those are my conditions.

Cedar Point is one of the best places ever, and I can't believe you didn't go on the Magnum! It's one of the best rides there. When you are going up you can see the ocean and the cars and when it's sunny out, the sun beams that hit the roofs are really cool to look at. The Raptor is also awesome, it's quite possibly the best ride there. The Millenium Force isn't all it's cracked up to be because there's one deep, fast drop and the rest is blah. The Mantis is awesome also. The Power Tower is cool, but nausiating (sp?). No matter how much you love coasters, and I do, the Power Tower will get sickening if ridden lots of times.
Cedar Point is just awesome! But it's best to go in July or late June when it's really hot because you get the full Cedar Point experience.

I am SOOOO in! And I will drag you on the Millennium Force, because it kicks ass. That and the Rapter is my favorite ride ever. Also, I'm going to 6 Flags Worlds of Adventure tomorrow, and I'm afraid I'll be horribly disappointed because it will in no way live up to the Point.
