My oh my. Another real LiveJournal update in less than a month! What is the world coming to? Anyway, the vast majority of my friends are in Chicago and I figured that might be sorta depressing as I should be in Chicago as well. Not so my friends! I just had one of the best days ever and I shall tell you about it and use pictures to illustrate just how much fun it was!

As you probably are not aware, today was the day that little Vennesah went off into the world and got herself all married. I'm no weddingologist, having been to only three in my lifetime (two of which involved the same person marrying different guys) but I can certainly say that a grand time was probably had by all. And if not, well, fuck you. Weddings are supposed to be happy.

The wedding was out at Metro Beach which IS NOT Stony Creek. Just in case you were wondering. Despite this, it was still really nice (as long as you don't smell or look at the water too closely). The ceremony took place at the little gazebo out at the "point", as Jenny called it. If you've been out to Metro, you're probably familiar with it. Josh (the boy Vennesah decided to marry) and Vennesah both said cute things and it made certain people cry and certain people smile uncontrollably. Not that I would ever do either of these things, as I have a heart of stone. It was very cute and (thankfully) much shorter than some of the weddings I've been to, thanks to the total lack of Catholicism. Hooray!

After the ceremony, we headed back to the pavilion for the reception. It should be noted that there was a trolley available to cart us from the point to the pavilion, but my wonderful girlfriend was nice enough to walk with me both there AND back (it was probably about a mile walk) even though she was wearing heels and it probably killed her feet. She is quite the gal.

So, the reception was receptionish. I sat with Scott and his friend Justin and some girls I will probably forget about after writing this entry. There was some eating of food and one might say that both the mashed potatoes and chicken were scrumptious. Also, don't let Scott give you sips of his drinks. After the eating and the sitting and the toasts there was some dancing. It would probably take about 7-8 of Scott's drinks to actually get me to dance to fast songs (CURSE YOU GAYLE'S UNCLES) but I did get to dance with my Jenny to a fair amount of slow songs and it was cute. There aren't enough opportunities to slow dance with your girlfriend (or boyfriend or dog) once you finish high school. It sure is a shame.

Though, I am not a girl, I have to say being at the wedding made me put a bit of thought into what I would one day like to happen at my wedding. I'm not sure I even want to be married, but a wedding sure would be bitchin'. Also, I feel like noting that Jenny and I decided that "Red Right Ankle" just might be our song. It makes us both sad but perhaps it's a good type of sad. Or maybe it's just sad. It reminds me of her and it's cute and I felt that I should let LiveJournal know, as that seems as good a use as any.

Anyway, I won't bore you with my words any longer, here are the pictures.

Hey, somehow I managed to get a picture of the prettiest girl in the world on my camera! As luck would have it, she happened to be my date!

Yeah, this was Vennesah's wedding, but Jen is still really pretty and you should probably want to look at her as much as possible.

And there we are. I must say, I'm handsome as fuck. Jen's hair does look a little wonky here, but blame that on the wind. Her mom took one which was even better and by the time we got home from the wedding, she's printed it on photo paper and framed it. +2 points for mom.

And here is the lovely bride and groom. I must say, I don't know shit about hair or wedding dresses or any of that but I think Vennesah looked absolutely gorgeous.

Here they are again, dancin' and kissin'. This picture is probably the definition of cute. I brightened it up in Photoshop so if it looks bad it's probably because I don't know what I'm doing.

Now we have me with Vennesah. I still look hot and so does she.

Lastly, we have my favorite picture. Me, Vennesah, and Scott. If you don't know the lengthy history involving those two, well, I don't care. I'm not going to explain it. But, there I am with two of the greatest people I've ever met who I hope are both very happy with wherever their lives take them. This photo makes me all sentimental and reminds me of the wonderful times the three of us (and often Eric or Gayle) have had together. I love them both and right now, I doubt words can really express the way I feel. This is the kind of picture that is going to find itself inside a frame and atop my dresser, and that's quite a feat as I don't really have pictures atop my dresser.

Anyway, that's all I've got. Love you guys.

(Look at what this wedding shit does to me. I'm all "happy". I think my mouth actually hurts from smiling all day and I'm saying "nice" things about people. What the hell.)
