Many years ago I was in a small Cessna aeroplane - flying back towards home over our State's South West Coast. There were many small islands visible in the ocean beneath us. From our height we could see that each one was encircled by white foaming waves and surging spray. We could see it, and sense that the waters down below were turbulent and even raging around each little island. Had there been any inhabitants there, they would have experienced being completely in the centre of storm, but - we could hear nothing of it. The whole panorama beneath us looked like an immense stillness. Below us was spread the vast expanse of the whole of that ocean, and I had a wondrous sense of it all being a part of God’s plan and design - outside and beyond Time - and from Heaven’s perspective so different from what was happening at sea-level
