Three 6 Mafia won an Oscar? are you SERIOUS? They are like my favorite rappers of all time. slightly violent, but it's okay. They'll stay fly till i die.
Dual-degree requires 30 hours of difference between the two majors. This means, 150 hours is the minimum, as most majors are ~120 hours, and you have to complete all requirements of both majors. If your two majors are exactly 30 hours different, then you can complete the dual-degree with 150 hours. I don't know how you could fit a minor in there and still get 30 hours of difference between majors without double-dipping on hours (big no-no from my experience with advisors).
I had to read that a couple times, but I think I understand what you're saying. I'm pretty sure what my adviser was saying is that in order for me to get my two degrees, I was going to have to take some extra courses so that I could have some electives instead of just sliding all my English hours into my Journalism electives. So those extra courses could constitute my minor. I'm not sure exactly how many hours I'll need to get -- it could end up being 158 or maybe a few more. I'm not positive. I won't know for sure until this fall, when we sit and plan out everything.
I looked up, English and Journalism, and I think I understand now. You have 20+ hours of electives that can be anything. I didn't realize that the curriculum was only like 95 hours of specific classes and then random electives to fill out 120 for the major. All us science majors have much fewer free electives, almost everything has to count toward a specific requirement. That's cool for you then. Liberal arts gives you a lot more freedom than COSAM (or at least Pre-Vet Curriculum).
