nice, how is it so far? i always thought that looked like it'd be a particularly troublesome piercing for eating and talking. also does "frenulum" refer to any connective tissue? do you know? some piercers all seem to use different terminologies to refer to the same piercings.
actually, there was no pain after the piercing was actually performed. brushing my teeth today i actually grabbed on to it an pulled a little, it bled, but besides that it's doing great. and the frenulum according to my doctor is just that certain connective part. and the different terminolgy yeah it's also called the smiley, scrumpter. the frowny reffers to the other connective tissue, the one on the bottom lip.
yeah, i have one connective tissue piercing (under my tongue) and it didn't hurt at all...connective tissue isn't nerve-rich. i've only ever seen that piercing called a scrumper, but i've heard people apply frenulum to several different connective tissue piercings (including the one i have), so i get confused, haha. last time i went to get the plaque/toothpaste buildup cleaned off that jewelry (it's a captive bead hoop nearly impossible to get at without tools) it was a guy i didn't know and he called it something else totally new to me! i don't even remember what it was.
