I have not really updated my journal in a while... i don't knwo why exactly, but i think it has something to do with how i have felt of late. I don't knwo much about ho0w people feel, i just know i can predict how they would feel and act in situations. that does not mean i know how they feel when they are not in those situations. i suppose that ( Read more... )

this is brian cole, ha. first off, i know you want to know people's feelings, and if you don't, well that's ridiculous. that would be saying that you don't even care if people open up, that you want everyone to not know anything about each other and live in fear, the fear you say you have. so obviously you want to know what people think so you can be their friend or lover, and not live in fear. second, there are people in this world that can be almost infinetly more important than others. why? well you'd have to define what's important in the world, as a whole or as a small segment, like a family. a bum is not important because if he dies, he will effect the world in a very small way. but, let's say jesus were to live or die, he would be a very very important person to keep, because he influenced a great deal of people. depends on how much of it's true, but still, jesus, or definetly gandhi, are more important then others ( ... )

alright... a correction to be made... i think i may have been typing this a little too fast and not thinking much about word selection... it is not that i don't want to know their feelings, it is more that they shouldn't just tell people... their feelings are theirs and they should do with them as they wish... it is not always the best to just tell someone your feelings. and then the second part and the third part go to gether... when you judge people you place a value on them. i do not think anyone has the right to say that anyone is more important than another. would you sentence one person to death to save another? or for that matter, i remember specifically you, brian boss, saying that cows have as much value as us, and this one kid that sat in front of you went sort of crazy about it, saying how i am no more important to brian than a cow. if you do not think cows are any less important than us, then how can you... it is like putting a hieachy on no value. saying this person is more important... but he isn't... that does not ( ... )

-brian,
well i can certainly say that a kid is about as important to me as a cow because the importance can mean two things. first, the importance could be from my opinion. indeed, that kid is no more important to me then a cow. if he dies, it's the same as a cow. secondly, there's the act of doing good in the world. now the world would not feel taht kid is important at all. because he's just a normal kid, just like a cow's a normal cow. i guess i'm sort of wrong though, because that kid is more important then the cow, sense he creates so much pain, killing a lot of animals. he is more important, in that he should be taken care of quickly. a gun perhaps. ::laughs::.
