Whats wrong with being a communist? Personally, i don't think it really matters, since government and politics is solely based upon taking power from people and abusing it ( Read more... )

Everyone says communism doesn't work becuase people like to earn their fair share, but i think that's ridiculous. The problem is most "communisms" don't operate under "everyone gets the surplus of all our work" but more of "the people who lead this country get the surplus of all our work, and decide where it goes" that's just dictatorship.

i'm so frustrated with people using the term communism. i want to just make up another word, which i guess would be socialism. seems like i've just said this crap. Blah, thinking about such large global topics gets me so impatient.

man, i don't disagree that bad... i mean i'm bad but..

I've been a pro communist for years though. And i've said this before but i'll say it again, most of us don't work in a capitalist system/idealogy, because no matter how hard we work, we get paid by the hour only. They have a capitalist system for the ceo's and some guys at the top, and everyone underneath works in a communist payscale. And that's because the company doesn't want to pay the workers based on how much money the company made, they just want to give them their set amount, no matter how successful they did that year. True you can get a promotion, but i'd imagine you could in a communist or socialist system also. Or at least in my communist/socialist system. Are there pay scales in a communist system? or is everyone getting paid the same no matter what...
haha. my dad keeps saying "you know jesus was the first communist?" god, he loves to stir up the people at work.

So in communist everyone is *Suppose* to be paid the same ammount. Reguardless.

Personally, i think that untill everyone is settled in on the idea that work is done for the betterment of all, the i think that people should be paid based upon how strenuous the work is, how dangerous, how much training/education is required, etc.

That way people can find a fair pay scale for everyone, and get paid for the work they truely put in.

i know, i thought he was gonna disagree. anyway, he's right, they need a more balanced system. If you guys havn't read thoreau, you should. i agree with him: the best government is that which governs least. when you get to the point that the people are implementing a government that is directly imposing on your life, why would you choose to continue? because people are bread authoritarian. america is almost as bad as nazi germany, according to "the studies"

haha, we're too lazy to be nazi germany. America, just thinking about having to kick up those legs marching, would shudder in their recliners. haha.

as far as the commoner goes, sure... but the middle class in germany weren't much different. It was the lowerclass that did all the work, just as it is these days in america, besides, it as the Nazi party that controlled the military, not the people (just as it is the government in the USA that contols it here, and not the people)

I didn't say there was anything wrong with it, and i understand everything you've said about it, it's just not something I've identified with since I was about 16.
I'm not exactly resistant to a commie identity either, I just don't like getting a good idea and jumping on the bandwagon say "yup, me too!" without letting the idea... gestate for a while.

this sort of reminds me of the way Roger has explained athieism as a matter of 'I don't believe in god' versus 'I do believe there is no god'
not exactly, but anyways...

Well, I agree that people shouldn't define themselves too strongly, because it destroys creativity, and the ability to change and it also limits their avialability for betterment.

However, it seems like this is a pretty clear and actually rather harmless idea to associate with.

The only hard comes with other people's "preceived ideas" that come along with the idea, and if people are afraid of what other people think, then why the hell are they alive in the first place? If i was going to live a miserable life, the FIRST thing I would do is let what other people think control my life, and not because i didn't care, but because i was afraid of what they thought.

If saying i am something causes people to think that i'm evil, its their issue. And later on, if i find my beliefs are incorrect, or no longer adequate, then i can change them! ^.^

Anyways, sorry for that, nothing said here is directed at anyone, its all just me ^.^
