Glad to see the BBC appear to have backtracked after the 5,000 complaints they received about it!
It would have been 5,001 if my PC didn't crash every time I visited their website.
I'd love for the BBC to run a week's worth of programmes without any DOGs, or shrinking credits, or continuity announcers chatting over theme tunes, or any sort of intrusive advertising whatsoever, just as an experiment to see whether their ratings are affected in any way whatsoever.
I'm guessing that 1) it won't affect the audience figures in the slightest and 2) they'll get a ton of positive feedback about it.

Of course, it will never happen, but I can dream.
