OOC: Things the Stardroids do and don't know

((Spoilers ahoy, highlight to read.

The nine Stardroids (series SRN) were made after Wily discovered a spacecraft containing a robot of unknown alien origin. For WW at least, and for several reasons, Sunstar (the guy in the ship) is thought to be a seriously misplaced Decepticon. Whether or not this involved transwarp tech or the small ship accidentally going through the Nexus is undecided at this time.

Wily, being the way he was, only saw technology he could exploit. Though how much he understood of what he was tampering with is highly questionable, since for example he would have mistaken a spark for some kind of alien energy source.

It's a wonder his tampering didn't kill Sunstar, who thankfully was in stasis lock due to damage. But eventually he must have found some way to induce budding... the resulting Stardroids are, effectively, Sunstar's children.

Along with this, they have a similar energy signature to Transformers, and the alloy of their armor and some internal componants are of Cybertronian origin, having been made from salvaging metals from the ship itself. However their outward designs and most of their programming are more like what one would expect in one of Wily's Robot Masters. Whether or not the hardcoded Three Laws ever had any great hold on them, though, is unlikely.

The Stardroids raided for supplies they thought were being used to repair Sunstar. Terra was in command until Sunstar could be repaired, and as long as their leader was damaged, they thought Wily was still needed.

However, the Stardroids were, one by one, defeated, and Wily reactivated Sunstar to fight Megaman. Sunstar promptly turned on Wily, blasting him first, and then proceeded to fight Mega on his own. However, damage from the fight coupled with improperly done repairs caused him to explode, taking the space station and any other information on his origins with him.

The Stardroids have remained in stasis since. Wily considered them too risky to use again, given the ease with which Sunstar had disobeyed him, and so they were placed in the Gallery without first being repaired.))
