Tucker and Dale vs. Evil is a fairly straightforward slasher film.
Dale and Tucker (Alan Tudyk) are two rednecks on vacation in the mountains. They just want to spend the weekend fixing up their dilapidated cabin. Unfortunately, they are then attacked by a group of preppy college kids who came to the mountains to party.
That summary is super short because you really owe it yourself to watch the movie. It's very meta but in a good way. The movie expects you to be familiar with horror films and to love them just as much as the filmmakers do. If you're not a horror junkie, it's probably still an enjoyable film, but a lot of really subtle jokes will fly right over your head.
I really love this film. I saw it on Netflix, but it's now on my Amazon wishlist because of how amazing it is.
