"Clubroom Talk" is a collection of question and answer sessions that appear in the published volumes. Shinohara-sensei answers questions about the series which have been sent in by readers. I only translated the questioners' names whose readings I was certain about. Usual caveat applies.
[Question]
Regarding Takahashi Chiaki-san, in chapter 13 "Finding Pelorin," Chiaki-san won with a Saba-Miso flavor. Then, is Chiaki-san able to eat Pelocan? Bossun threw up no matter how many times he tried. (from Pen-name "Sket Dance lover")
[Answer]
Captain throws up too.
However, she went with it for her younger brother's sake. She's a good kid. But, she throws up.
By the way, her brother used to throw up too, but now he's completely taken with it.
Pelocan has a "wall of flavor" so if you can get past that and slip through, it has a certain charm to it. Somehow, the futility of this hurdle is highly addictive.
[Question]
I've been wondering this for a while, but what is that symbol on the wristbands? If it has a name or something, please tell me! (from Pen-name "Duck")
[Answer]
That is the Sket Dan's mark. It may look like a cat, but the horns and goggles motif were Bossun's design.
I call it the "Sket Mark."
[Question]
On page 97 of volume 4, when Daisy dejectedly returns to the group, Tsubaki is the only one who doesn't say anything to her and instead is blushing. Just what's going on there?
Please tell me, Shinohara-sensei!
Also, what year is Unyuu Mimori?
[Answer]
I'm sorry, it's hard to figure out.
That is his reaction to hearing Mimorin say "I wanted to wear a black dress too~" Right when he's imagining that is when it looks like he's blushing.
Since he knows that the dress has a scooping neckline and Mimorin has large breasts, he's like that.
Mimorin is a second-year, like Bossun and Tsubaki.
She's the only one who uses
keigo by virtue of her upbringing.
[Question]
Sensei, I saw something in Jump that make me think "huh?", so I'll question you about it.
1. In the story about Himeko's past, there's a guy Bossun bumps into and gives gummies to.
I thought it had to be Switch no matter how you look at it, but is it him?
2. On a similar note, does Switch's backstory take place after Himeko's?
[Answer]
It's Switch.
Concerning the chronological order of their backstories, Himeko's is the summer of 3rd year middle school through the spring of 1st year high school and Switch's is the spring and summer of 1st year high school.
Switch's backstory takes place right after he bumps into Bossun, so you could say it starts with that.
[Question]
On page 102 of volume 1, Switch-kun says "Shimizu Yoshie-san?". Is that Yoshie-san the drummer "Yosshii-san" who was in the Yabasawa Books with Himeko?
[Answer]
Good job noticing that. You're right.
