Character and Abilities
Personality
Bentley's personality goes through a few changes through the series, though he remains the same smart but cautious person at heart. He likes to know as much as possible about any situation as he can before trying to take any drastic action so his bases are covered. The leads him to read about quite a lot of things...as he often says "I've read about this" when explaining new things to his friends. His knowledge goes far beyond, demolition and RC skills, as he knows a lot of history, opera, and other seemingly trivial things too. He also has moments of sarcasm, and when giving answers at times will say "If I did my math right, and I always do my math right" first.
When a plan is comprised...or his laptop stolen, he panics or becomes agitated until things settle. While he is willing to get his hands dirty, especially when he has to, dangerous situations do still scare him and he can be terse and a bit high-strung when reminded of the danger. He did become less timid in this aspect, but it hasn't gone fully. He has a lot of determination though, shown in his willingness to do what it takes to save his friends and the amount of work he puts into completing tasks...he's even willing to put aside differences with enemies for a greater goal.
He's developed quite the devious side and can be very mean in his scheming, doing things like unleashing giant wolves on unsuspecting guards and dropping strung up boats on their heads, or having them fed to crocodiles...as well as setting guards on Sly during their training in the Hazard Room to make sure he has to put effort into the exercise. He takes great pride in this new side of himself, but he has a soft side, in that he doesn't like to see the defenseless hurt or buildings sunk for extortion.
Surprisingly, despite his somewhat high-strung, computer geeky nature, Bentley likes to hang around and play video games, sit around a campfire, gamble, watch musicals, sight-see, hang out at the beach and most other activities the average person does.
Abilities
Bentley's greatest weapon is his mind. He's highly intelligent and capable of using available information to devise clever strategies that rarely fail without outside interference.
He's a pro hacker, and has recently master finding vault codes in paintings that hide the vault in question...this is the only thief skill he does better than Sly.
Though confined to his wheelchair, he is still a walking arsenal...so to speak, having outfitted said chair with a bomb dispenser, his dart gun and binoccucom, a fishing rod with a magnet attached, and boosters to aid his jumps and spped. He can get around pretty well in the chair, pushing himself quickly enough to keep up with Sly running on foot and even being able to make it hop. He can also hang from edges with the chair if his upper body can rest on the edge in question.
Naturally he can't swim with or without the chair, and being knocked out of it leaves him helpless since crawling with his hands wouldn't get him far.
He is allergic to both tomatoes and lemons, and anything made with a lot of either, and has asthma...though he can temporarily work around these conditions if he needs to.
